Our Priorities
General Practice Tasmania’s priorities over the next three years are to:- Cement the place of the network in the delivery of primary care services in the State.
- Implement robust systems for clinical communications, data collection and information management.
- Maintain strong communications and advocacy to ensure a unified voice for general practice in Tasmania.
- Support improvements in practice quality and capacity particularly in the area of chronic disease prevention.
- Develop and promote team based models of care in a manner that recognises and responds to the needs of general practice.
- Work with government and non-government organisations in preventing and managing chronic disease into the future.
- Develop strategies to address general practice workforce shortages and ensure a sustainable primary care workforce for the future.
