General Practice North West
The Division’s primary focus is improved health outcomes within the primary health system and to enhance the capacity of quality, sustainable health care workforce in the region. To achieve these goals the Division strives to:
Ensure capacity and growth in general practice within the region through an active and engaged membership, quality corporate governance, including HRM and financial accounting systems and the pursuit of additional business and funding opportunities;
- Achieve engagement of GPs and practice staff through the provision of quality education and training opportunities and activities designed to enhance practice business capacity;
- Develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships at local, state and national level, to maximise the capacity of the Division to influence relevant health and service provision issues; and
- Promote and evaluate sustainable primary health care models.
