General Practice South
General Practice South Ltd is an independent, incorporated body governed by an elected Board comprising GPs and Independent Directors.
General Practice Tasmania is a member organisation of General Practice Tasmania Ltd.
GP South aims to improve health outcomes through general practice by offering a wide range of services and resources to GPs and their staff to promote quality care and strengthen the capacity and viability of practices.
GP South’s services focus in four key areas:
- Quality Care - focussing on training, support and resources to support GPs’ clinical practice
- Practice Capacity - building stronger, more viable practices and supporting practice staff
- GP Partnerships and Integration - linking GPs with other health service providers, consumers and hospitals and advocating for GPs
- Division Governance and Management - ensuring the organisation is relevant and responsive to general practice and run professionally and accountably.
