Secure Clinical Communications Initiative (SECCI)
Overview
General Practice Tasmania through its member divisions is delivering a secure electronic clinical messaging environment across the whole of Tasmania. This Secure Electronic Clinical Communication Initiative (SECCI) delivers secure two-way messaging between Tasmanian GPs and Specialists.
The software that has been chosen to support this initiative, Global Health's ReferralNet, integrates with a number of clinical systems to build referral messages. This message is digitally signed and then securely transmited to the desire specialist. Once the Specialist performs the consultation progress notes are sent back and can be inserted directly into the GP’s clinical system.
