Immunisation
Immunise Australia Program – Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing
This Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing website provides information about immunisation and Australian immunisation standards. The site includes translations of some materials and links to the current edition of the Australian Immunisation Handbook.
Australian Childhood Immunisation Register
The Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (Immunisation Register) records details of vaccinations given to children under the age of seven who live in Australia. Health professionals also use the Immunisation Register to monitor immunisation coverage levels, service delivery and disease outbreaks.
General Practice Immunisation Incentives (GPII) scheme
The General Practice Immunisation Incentives (GPII) scheme provides financial incentives to general practitioners (GPs) who monitor, promote and provide immunisation services to children under the age of seven years. The overall aim of the GPII scheme is to encourage at least 90 per cent of practices to achieve 90 per cent proportions of full immunisation .
Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services – Communicable Diseases Prevention Unit
The Communicable Disease Prevention Unit (CDPU) within DHHS provides leadership and direction in the development and management of communicable diseases prevention and control activities that target the whole population or specific groups. The CDPU coordinates the provision of funded vaccines to providers and operates an Immunisation hotline for providers and the public. Various resources for immunisation providers are available via the CDPU website.
Australian General Practice Network (AGPN) – National General Practice Immunisation Program
The National General Practice Immunisation Program hosted by AGPN aims to improve the quality and levels of vaccination services provided by general practice, with the overall goal of improving immunisation rates across Australia.
National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS)
This website contains fact sheets on specific vaccines, an online newsletter and an MMR vaccine decision aid for parents who may be unsure about MMR vaccination.

This site is part of a collaborative project between the Northern Rivers Public Health Unit (NSW) and the Northern Rivers Division of General Practice. The website is provided for parents; it answers common questions and contains immunisation news, articles and links.
National Immunisation Program Schedule
The National Immunisation Program Schedule (NIPS) outlines the recommended and fully funded vaccine plan by age group for the Immunise Australia Program (contact your local Division for a copy of the current Tasmanian Adult and Child Immunisation Schedule).
